Gujarat attracts big ticket investments from Rs. 100 crore to 5,000 crore from MNCs & Indian companies

Gujarat has attracted big ticket investments from MNCs and Indian companies as part of 376 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) ranging from Rs. 100 crore to Rs. 5,000 crore, informed Dr H G Koshia, Commissioner of the Gujarat Food & Drug Control Administration (FDCA). These MoUs are worth Rs. 29,246 crore of total proposed investment signed in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) since 2019.
List of big pharma companies which have signed MoUs in VGGS 2024 are Senador Laboratories Private Limited, Ahmedabad (Europe) with an investment of Rs. 2,500 Crore, Gillette Diversified Operations Pvt Ltd Sanand (USA) with an investment worth of Rs. 2,500 crore, Amneal Group of Company (USA) with an investment of Rs. 1,600 crore, Sysmex India Private Limited, Sanand (Japan) with an investment of Rs. 210 crore, Otsuka Pharmaceutical India Private Ltd (Japan) with an investment of Rs. 100 crore, Zydus Groups of Company with an investment of Rs. 5,000 crore, Mankind Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. with an investment of Rs. 1,100 crore, Meril Group of Company with an investment of Rs. 910 crore, BDR Pharmaceuticals International Pvt. Ltd. with an investment of Rs. 500 crore, Cadila Group of Company with an investment of Rs. 400 crore, Intas Pharmaceuticals Limited with an investment of Rs. 250 crore, Innoxel Lifesciences Private Limited with an investment of Rs. 250 crore and Corona Remedies Private Limited with an investment of Rs. 150 crore.
According to the latest data released by the Gujarat FDCA, out of the total 376 projects or MoUs signed, 181 have already been commissioned with 19 in preliminary stages and further 153 projects actively under implementation, indicating strong momentum in the sector. Only 23 projects were dropped, suggesting a high rate of conversion from MoU to execution.
