Fountain Awards make debut at PCHi’s 10th anniversary event in Guangzhou

The maiden Personal Care and Homecare Ingredient (PCHi) Fountain Awards, launched in conjunction with PCHi 2017 (the tenth edition of the show), took place at Guangzhou’s Langham Place Hotel recently. The Awards were introduced to reward and spur industry folk towards continual development of cutting-edge technologies.
PCHi 2017, which took place at the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre, attracted thousands of industry professionals from across the globe. The event, which was organised by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE), witnessed a record total of 507 global exhibitors, who showcased the latest ingredients and technologies.
Joe Zhou, vice-president, RSE, said, “After months of planning and hard work, we are delighted to present our first Fountain Awards at PCHi’s tenth edition. Since the first edition of PCHi in 2008, we have always strived to inspire and elevate the industry to greater heights.”
“The Fountain Awards has given us a golden opportunity to recognise the significant contributions made by companies and individuals in the industry, and we are very pleased with how the Awards has been warmly received by our industry peers,” he added. PCHi Fountain Awards At the Awards, RSE recognised and celebrated the bright minds behind the industry’s most ground-breaking developments and technologies. The PCHi team worked closely with experts from universities, research institutions, PCHi’s Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC) and established domestic and foreign scientific research individuals to select a total of 30 awardees. Apart from introducing an unparalleled range of innovative technologies to the industry, PCHi 2017 offered visitors abundant learning and networking opportunities through activities like the PCHi Conference Programme, New Technology Sessions and Exhibitor Presentation Theatre. Zhou commented, “This is an important year for PCHi, and it has been made even more significant with the record number of visitors. When PCHi first came to Guangzhou all those years ago, we were establishing ourselves as a key networking and knowledge-driven platform for the industry.”
“Since its inception, the show has more than doubled in size, visitor and exhibitor numbers, showcase attractions and conference seminars. Returning to Guangzhou for our anniversary event reminds us how far PCHi has come,” he added.
