BELPHARMPROM from Belarus seeks Indian collaboration to address demand for essential medicines

In a bid to enhance healthcare provisions in the Republic of Belarus, the Pharmaceuticals Holding Company BELPHARMPROM, under the Ministry of Health, has reached out to Indian pharmaceutical companies for collaboration. This move aims to address the demand for essential medicines and explore opportunities for the localization of finished dosage forms (FDF).
BELPHARMPROM's inquiry, facilitated by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), highlights the growing interest in international partnerships to bolster pharmaceutical supply chains and meet the healthcare needs of nations.
List of the pharmaceutical substances which require assistance in finding its alternative manufacturers and suppliers are potassium orotas, procainamide, promedol, sufentanil citrate, tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, fentanyl, castor oil, bufexamac and ammonia solution concentrated 25% among others.
Karina Milinkevich, a leading specialist at BELPHARMPROM, expressed the company's interest in procuring specific pharmaceutical substances and facilitating the registration procedure for APIs and medicines in Belarus. The contact details provided signify BELPHARMPROM's openness to direct engagement with potential Indian suppliers.
Uday Bhaskar, director general (DG) of Pharmexcil, welcomed BELPHARMPROM's initiative, emphasizing the potential for fruitful collaboration between Indian pharmaceutical companies and Belarusian authorities. Bhaskar highlighted the significance of such partnerships in promoting global health and ensuring access to quality healthcare products.
