Calling all nutraceutical innovators - Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards return in 2026

Following the remarkable success of its inaugural edition in 2025, Informa Markets has officially announced the return of the Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards for 2026. Designed to celebrate the most exciting and groundbreaking advancements in the nutraceutical industry, the awards will once again serve as a premier platform recognising excellence across the sector.
The awards ceremony will take place during Vitafoods Europe 2026 on 5 May, spotlighting outstanding ingredients, consumer-ready finished products, and sustainability initiatives that are reshaping the global nutraceutical landscape.
Applications Now Open
Entries are now open and will be accepted until 27 February 2026. Following the submission deadline, a panel of leading industry experts will review applications and announce a shortlist of finalists in March.
Shortlisted finalists will be invited to pitch their innovations live in Barcelona the day before the exhibition officially opens. Winners will then be revealed at an exclusive awards ceremony during Vitafoods Europe 2026.

Entries are open to all Vitafoods Europe 2026 exhibitors, with submissions encouraged for innovations launched within the past two years.
The 2026 awards span a comprehensive range of categories, covering finished products and key health segments including:

New Categories for 2026
Reflecting major market shifts, two brand-new categories have been introduced:
Weight Management Ingredient – driven by the rise of GLP-1 therapies
Nutricosmetic Ingredient – recognising innovations shaping the fast-growing beauty-from-within sector
In addition, the Diversity & Inclusion Award remains open to all companies — including non-exhibitors — that are leading efforts to create inclusive workplaces within the nutraceutical industry.

Judging Panel and Recognition
Entries will be assessed by an independent panel of industry experts, chaired once again by Prof. Colin Dennis, Chair of the Board of Trustees at IFIS Publishing. The judging panel will include leading specialists in scientific research, regulatory affairs, market insights, and product development.
